The Question

Seven days through Morocco.
One question at golden hour.

A private journey through the most beautiful country on earth, designed for two. Every day extraordinary. One day unlike any other. Everything prepared in secret.

"I had thought about it for two years. The moment I saw what BerberRoads had prepared, I understood - nothing I could have imagined came close."

This is not a travel experience with a proposal added to it. It is a proposal built around seven days that make it inevitable. Morocco unfolds around you - ancient medinas, private artisan ateliers, the silence of the Atlas, the Sahara at dusk - until the evening that changes everything.

The journey, day by day

Day 1
Marrakech
A riad with no sign on the door
Arrival in Marrakech. A private riad in the medina - one of those addresses that does not appear in any guide, passed quietly between those who have stayed there. The evening belongs entirely to you. Mint tea, the call to prayer across the rooftops, and the first night of a week that will not resemble anything either of you has experienced before.
Day 2
Marrakech
The artisans. A secret is placed into motion.
Private ateliers in the souks that do not receive visitors without an invitation - a master calligrapher whose work takes days per piece, a ceramicist who learned from his grandfather who learned from his. While your partner discovers, something is being prepared nearby. You know. They do not yet.
Day 3
High Atlas
The mountains. A Berber village.
The High Atlas in morning light. A drive through passes that feel like the end of the known world. A Berber village that has received very few foreign guests in its history. A family lunch in a home that has stood for four generations. By the time the city is two hours behind you, it already belongs to a different life.
Day 4
South
Ait Benhaddou. The ancient ksar.
The road south unfolds in red and ochre. Ait Benhaddou - the 11th-century fortified village, a UNESCO monument - before the day-trippers arrive. You walk its streets in near silence. Night in a restored kasbah suite, under a sky that is beginning to fill with stars that are not visible from anywhere else.
Day 5
Sahara
The desert. Arrival.
The road ends at the edge of the Sahara. A private camp has been prepared for two - no other guests. You arrive as the sun drops low and the dunes turn from gold to amber to deep rose. Dinner under stars you will not believe exist this far from everything you know. Tomorrow has been arranged.
Day 6
The Moment
The Question

What happens on this day, we do not write here.
Not because we cannot describe it.
Because it is not our story to tell.

Day 7
Return
As fiancés
The slow return to Marrakech, now the first morning of your engagement. A private riad. A celebration dinner in a courtyard lit by lanterns and the quiet presence of people who have been waiting to congratulate you. BerberRoads does not end with the question. It becomes the first chapter of what comes next.

What we prepare

Total secrecy

You write to us alone, before anything else. Everything we prepare is invisible to your partner. Every member of the BerberRoads team knows the plan. Your partner sees only seven extraordinary days in Morocco.

Private for two

This journey shares nothing with strangers. Every accommodation, every experience, every moment - reserved entirely for the two of you. No other groups. No other guests. Morocco, private.

The ring

If the ring is already chosen, we carry it with us throughout the journey with complete discretion. If you are still looking, we know craftsmen in Marrakech whose work is not found in any boutique.

What comes after

Many couples extend The Question into a honeymoon. We design the continuation seamlessly. The proposal, the celebration, and the beginning of the rest of your life - one uninterrupted journey.

What we keep to ourselves
Some of what we do on this journey
we do not describe publicly

There are elements of the proposal experience - specific to Morocco, specific to the Sahara, specific to what we have learned across years of creating these moments - that we keep between ourselves and the person planning. Not as a device. Because part of what we offer is that your partner arrives at Day 6 having lived something they could not have anticipated, and could not have found anywhere else.

The magic requires that certain things remain unspoken until you write to us. When you do, we will tell you everything.

"She said yes before I finished the sentence. The desert had already done most of the work."
